Ways to treat your yellow teeth

- Brush teeth properly
Brushing twice a day will not work if you don’t do it in a proper manner. Right way is to do it immediately after consuming food or drinks that lead to give stains in your teeth. Make sure your brush reaches all the cracks and crevices of your teeth. Brushing in circular motion is recommended to ensure gums protection. Use whitening toothpastes, as they have abrasives that scrub the teeth to remove enamel stains. Likewise use of electric toothbrush will also do the needful.
- Use pastes containing hydrogen peroxide and baking soda
Mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda is said to be best for removing plaque and stains build up in teeth. If you don’t know about any such tooth paste you can make paste of these ingredients at home for cleaning your teeth. Mix two table spoon of hydrogen peroxide with one table spoon of baking soda to make a paste and after applying it on your teeth, rinse your mouth of with water. Repeat it daily for twelve weeks to get sparkling teeth.
- Use Oil pulling technique
Oil pulling is not only a way of whitening your teeth it also remove all bacteria from your mouth. Any high quality oil is helpful for this purpose but the most recommended ones are sesame oil and coconut oil. Take 1 to 2 teaspoons of oil and do oil pulling for 10 to 30 minutes daily. Don’t swallow the oil as it contains all the toxins and bacteria of your mouth. Spit in the waste basket and rinse your mouth with water.
- Use mouthwash containing apple cider vinegar
Mix 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 6 ounce of water to make a mouthwash. Swish it for 30 seconds daily however use it with caution as it could damage surface of your teeth if used for longer period than advised.
- Rubbing teeth with orange, lemon and banana peels
It is said that the compound d-limonene or citric acid is found in the peels of lemon, oranges and banana which are effective in whitening teeth, so gently rub your teeth with these peels for 2 minutes daily to get the desired results. Likewise tooth pastes having compound d-limonene can also be used. Using such pastes for 4 weeks would reduce smoking stains significantly. However citric nature of such pastes can make your teeth sensitive, so if you feel sensitivity, leave this whitening trick.
- Use charcoal pastes for teeth whitening
Highly absorbent nature of charcoal helps them to lift stains from teeth. Activated charcoal also removes bacteria and other toxins from your teeth. So use toothpastes having charcoal. You can simply dab it on your teeth surface for 2 minutes, without brushing, to limit the abrasiveness of charcoal. However be careful because excessive use of charcoal can also wear away your tooth enamel and expose dentin which is also yellow in color.
- Consuming fruits and vegetables having more water content
Chewing fruits and vegetables having more water content can help producing saliva which removes food accumulated in your teeth and wash away harmful acids.
